Cannot not enter Any promo codes

I have been away from SWTOR and re-activated my account.  I had to re-name my character and everything seams fine..  However when going to Code Redemption | Star Wars: The Old Republic (swtor.com),  log in and select "Code Redemption"  I get the following message  "There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance."  And since i am a "Free-to-play" i cannot call anyone to find out what is wrong..    any help???
