Cannot Subscribe via Site, Steam or Redeem Game Time Codes

I have no idea what I'm supposed to do about this.

SWTOR ID - [removed]

EA ID - TheVisionare

Cannot reset my EA ID password no matter what I try. I'm pretty sure it's due to inactivity. My SWTOR account was created in 2014. My Steam is linked to my SWTOR account. As far as I'm aware, I do not have an EA account linked to my SWTOR account. If I do, I more than likely do not have access to it as I've tried to reset the password to the only relevant EA ID to this case.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I tried to subscribe via the website. The website would not accept either of my debit cards or my credit card. I bought a 60-day code from Amazon thinking it was just a problem with my cards or something but then when I went to redeem the code it said the code had already been used. I then did some Google searching and tried to subscribe via Steam with a 30-day, but that didn't apply to my account either. I've reset my SWTOR password and I'm still unable to purchase anything or redeem codes. I contacted EA support to see about resetting the only relevant EA ID I have in relation to this issue and they told me I probably used a different email. I have emails from EA/Origin as far back as 2013 with that ID so I'm pretty sure there's no way that's possible. On this EA account (my Xbox Live account) I have no history with SWTOR. I'm out 90 days and potentially an EA account at this point.

Help would be appreciated here.

flagged to check the account for issues , response will be in about 8hrs when support are online for the day

Every swtor account is linked to a ea account for purchasing, when an account is disabled for purchasing , no gametime can be added to that account from any source not even swtor support until the account issue is fixed.

email uncropped screenshots and supply the amazon code per the sticky https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/...

You mention ea id TheVisionare yet your posting on a different ea account ea id 871236H1563Y so you have 2 ea accounts straight away

  • @proxos666 Yeah I for sure have at least 2 EA accounts. The one I'm posting from is linked to my Xbox Live and has no association to my SWTOR account (I've asked). It looks like if there was an EA account it was linked to my Gmail (the one I'm posting from is my Hotmail) because I have emails as far back as 2013 for that one. I'm unable to recover that one though which is where I think the problem might lay. EA chat told me to reset my password to recover my EA account but even when I type in my EA ID (TheVisionare) it says my account cannot be found. They said I must have used a different email address to sign up but this is the only other EA account (the one I'm posting from) that I have. If the account they closed after 2 years of inactivity is unrecoverable I'll be out of luck because I have no other way of resetting that account.

Thanks for the tip about the codes. I'll do that for Amazon and my Steam receipt later on if/when my account issue is resolved. I'm not super in need of having a working EA account linked to my SWTOR if it's permanently broken as long as I can add game time through the website, a code or via Steam. I remember something about pre 2019 and post EA and SWTOR or Origin accounts being wonky or something if I recall. Back in the day I didn't think we needed EA accounts to be linked (2011-2016ish or something) but maybe it did always make one for with your SWTOR login information. Could be wrong though it's been a while.

    Thank you for your help!

I can confirm the issue when support respond , but either way swtor support (not ea support) can put a new email address on the linked ea account if it has been disabled and its data has been wiped, swtor support can still see the account due to the swtor linkage

Support suggested to try the below , if that fails you are best to call them and they can set a new email on the linked ea account

use this link (insert the Gmail email address used on the swtor account ) to try and restore purchasing for the account

for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared.

  • Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately this did not work either. "We couldn’t find your EA Account"
