Thank you for the quick response! This guide is one of the first things I found, I can't figure out how "try entering a different email" helps since I have no option to enter an email to log in, only display name.
There is a new caveat here as I went ahead and deleted the steam launcher and got the one from the SWTOR website. That launcher lets me log in and play no problem, and having had no issue I leveled up a character to 20 and decided I wanted to Subscribe, only to realize the same problem persisted on their website (Cant validate account to purchase anything since I don't receive the email). I can't log into the "My Account" page on the website but I can play the game. I assumed that the initial issue was a steam glitch and the validation worked and everything was fixed using the different launcher, but this is clearly not the case.
I tried to continue playing and it is giving me the validation menu in launcher now, which does have the option to enter an email, this must be what the guide is referring to as it now makes sense. I have tried 3 different emails and waited 15 minutes received nothing. Ill give it a day, but again the forgot display name sends an email within 3 minutes so my hopes aren't up.
Seems really weird that this is a common issue preventing people from spending money and it cant be fixed by calling the helpline and having a manual validation email sent. How can I receive the forgot display name email but not the validation, that doesn't make sense.
