I am a returning player and I am unable to add a game code from amazon. My SWTOR account is not linked to an EA account, I had canceled my original EA account over a year ago. I only want to play SWTOR, don't want anything to do with EA origin. I created this account just so I could post here.
My SWTOR name is squalltheonly
am having the same thing followed the advice about sending my details to support @ swtor.com did not even get a reply to say they have had my email

Support can see your email in the queue so hopefully they will get to it today or tomorrow for you

I've been a long time player on and off. I've never had this issue. ☹️
Every swtor is linked to an EA / Origin account See this link https://help.ea.com/en-au/help/account/close-ea-account
what they should of mentioned is the below bit when you closed that account;
Deleting your EA Account will permanently break your Pogo or SW:TOR account. We cannot restore Pogo or SW:TOR accounts when this happens, so we recommend you keep your account active or temporarily deactivate it.
Unfortunately that account really should be locked as no purchases will ever work on that swtor account again
you can create a new swtor account, however if you tried to apply the code to old account you may need to call swtor support so they can apply the code to the new account
edit - do not forget to unlink your steam account
