same problem..

Ok, more than a week trying to solve this, and no word from EA.
Even created a new acount and a new email to see if that woulf work but no, even then the issue persists.
A quick google search and i found that this has been an issue since at least 2018 (even found some posts from 2014).
So yeah, i give up

the original issue was the payment method you where using was being declined by your bank , have you resolved why ?

There is no issue with that since i've used it within this same period, the issue is on EA's side

you will need to call swtor support when the lines open to discuss further

I'm unable to call, plus it should not be this complicated and time consuming to solve an issue that seems to exist for quite some time...

supports exact response was "it's their payment provider saying no, then too many tries. might want to chat with them and call us"
that is how you will resolve this, unfortunately i cannot help further if you are unable to pick up a phone and call them.
maybe try calling with skype , cost is about 3cents a min last i checked

support@swtor.com is the email , but they will respond with call us for matters involving payment matters
have you considered installing the game via steam and purchasing on steam ? just be sure to login on a character via steam fully before purchasing

This really makes me nervous.
So many failed attempts.
Then suddenly one is open and goes through.
I didn't even have to reset my password. I just pressed the reset link and suddenly the failed credit card attempt went through.
I swear if there is $80 worth of 30 day subs on my credit card...
SWTOR really needs to get this ironed out!

My last transaction went through, I think.
First it failed.
Then I clicked on the password reset link.
But before it even sent the reset mail, the failed was switched to open and now I am subscribed.
So strange, and nerve racking.

Support said your account looks fine and you are now subscribed , they can also see the failed transaction you mentioned.
other then that all looks as it should

Support said you show as subscribed for 60 days that you bought
if your online when you purchase you do need to log out and back in to reflect the subscriber status

I'm Also having problems. Username: CodyDrake.
Try to subscribe and it just says"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support for further assistance." - 4 years ago@proxos666 Thanks for the quick turnaround! Will check that!

Support see no issue with the account
Does it persist with incognito mode in chrome or deleting the web browser cache and cookies ?
Steam purchase is an option too , just be sure the accounts are linked prior to purchase

I've cleared all browser data and attempted in incognito mode and the error still persists. I can try purchasing through steam but I also can't redeem codes on the site.

have flagged, i would say they will send your account to studio for fixing now, and that may take some time
steam purchase will work i have been told (provided the accounts are linked first)
edit - support have asked if you can call them when the lines open
