Constant Lag Spikes and Disconnects

Looking at the pingplot the issue is obviously at the start , see it all appears between hop 1 and 2 , however the timing at hop 1 is higher then normal at average of 10.6ms (see mine is average of 2 by wireless).

You really need to connect by cable and see if this persists

What device is hop 1 ? 10.55.32.120 is this your modem/router 

Here is one of my old pingplots for example, hop 1 is my router

Just looked at the pathping and tracert 

Lower your firewall settings on the modem as a test as well, both of those are considered failed results and will be due to the firewall.

Just to provide a bit of context , on previous posts , asking for you to try the items in the previous posts  to eliminate local as contributing.

This can also be a link issue that your ISP will need to resolve, the higher ping at the modem can be from the modem being very busy error correcting hence the raised ping.

First of all, thank you for the prompt reply! For the two fixes that you recommended:

1. Firewall: I am unable to disable/configure my firewall since it is password protected (computer isn't mine). Furthermore, my anti-virus system (ESET) will not allow itself to be disabled at launch in System Configuration. While I understand that you wanted to isolate all factors, I have been having no problems with this firewall since I started playing again in early January. It's only after I deleted bitraider and reinstalled everything a week ago that this problem popped up.

2. Connect via Cable: I will try this down the road as I do not have a cable with me. However, is this the cause of the issue as I had no problem playing via wireless previously. Also, I had no problem playing via wireless using the modem of a friend 300km away from where I live ie. I have played without problems using two wireless networks.

Let's say (just in case) that the above two may not be the issue, are you aware of other things that may be causing my current problems?

The firewall i was meaning was the firewall on the modem

as to what else this can be , it has all the indicators of a link issue to the ISP

See this link - and scroll down to "Internet Service Provider bad hardware" what is shown there is mild to what is displayed in your pingplot

There is one other possibility I just thought of 

Given the high level set on the firewall on the modem , evidenced by the pathping and tracert being blocked

There is the possibility that the streaming launcher is being blocked , this will cause it to resend continually and depending on the rate the connection may appear to flood.

The best way for you to check if this , is to install the non streaming launcher as per this link 

however if this isnt it then I would be showing that pingplot to the ISP for feedback

Edit - when you said deleted bitraider is this what you mean you did ?

Yep! That's what I meant. My launcher is no longer the BitRaider version, evidenced by the lack of 'ST' at the bottom left hand corner. It was a change that I...uh...accidentally implemented, resulting in having to download the entire game again. Afaik I no longer have bitraider on my computer.

This is also when my troubles started, sadly.

The Patcher used by Solid State Networks (SSN) non streaming is what I use here , it would be unusual for it to be the issue.

I'm more inclined to think link , what does the ping plot look like when the game isnt running ?

I did a test and when not playing, every around 10 minutes (interval is surprisingly quite fixed)  i'll get something like this:

 In the picture, at around 7.42pm another lag spike occurs.
