8 years agocrash to desktop
i get a couple of min in sometimes just a few seconds into the game after the character loads into the game and it sends me to the desktop. no crash warning or report no error at all just right to th...
I went to event view/applications and finally I got error logs, I hope these help. I also took my rams out and put them in 1 at a time to see how they run(trying to test every part of the hardware), only 1 lasted over 20 min and near to an hour before it quit to the desktop, number 2 lasted about 20 min at most and 3 and 4 lasted 5 min at most. when I put 1 and 2 together it lasted 8 min. I cant get my hands on a power supply at the moment without spending $100 or more and that's a lot of money. it wouldn't let me attach the report so I had to put it in a text document.
My immediate suspicion would point to EVGA Precision, judging by the faulting module. Could you try completely uninstalling EVGA Precision to see if it affects the crashes at all?
I uninstalled evga and it still crashed when I was fighting the first boss on chiss, didn't get an event log error this time
I reinstalled it again....but this time in the %appdata% I found crash files but they are CRASH.dmp and CRASH.json which your site doesn't allow to be posted, and I cant figure out how to open them
You can likely use something like bluescreenview to analyse the dumps or use windbg to look at the dumps see this link
I do not hold much hope of narrowing this to a single software cause as a hardware issue can produce errors randomly so the error will change
Simple test question , does another PC on that home network have the same issue with swtor ? there isn't a lot left apart from the motherboard itself on that PC by the sounds of it.
