A game can trigger a system issue but not cause one
PC restart can be power supply or Thermal related for example, but why is the question
From a game respective, updating drivers and verifying game files is 9/10ths of what a game can do https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/GUIDE-Client-Repair-Scan/m-p/6454174#M70804
try playing under a clean boot and see if it persists too- MikeFlu2 months agoNew Novice
This is not a hardware issue. It only does it specifically when the Galaxy Map is opened in game. Never anywhere else. Ever.
What have you tried to narrow down the cause ?
Have you done a clean install of the game for example ? this has to be something unique with your computer otherwise all of us will have the same issue, and i have not seen another post here recently having the same issue- MikeFlu2 months agoNew Novice
Yes, I have done a clean install. I've tried everything I can think of. It has to be the game. It has never happened in another situation, ever.
Can you provide a dxdiag link per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Posting-a-DxDiag/m-p/4832663/highlight/true#M70799

Found it.
no crash reports at all are listed so thats not much help, if you look at the end of the dxdiag all it has is no data
Try installing 25.3.2 video driver listed at this link
release notes are at https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-25-3-2.html
other then that have you tried lowering all gfx settings to low and remove any overclocks set in the bios like on the ram etc as a test- MikeFlu2 months agoNew Novice
According to my AMD app my video driver is up to date. I did that dxdiag immediately after an occurance of the described crash. i guess I'll try lowering the graphics. I don't have my ram overclocked, but as this is a custom watercooled system I usually have my cpu and gpu auto overclocked with the AMD software, but when a crash happens it resets everything to default. It happens so often that I haven't bothered overclocking again for quite a while.
Your driver is 25.3.1 , the 25.3.2 is optional at this stage , release notes detail application crash fixes https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-25-3-2.html
Given your monitor runs at 144hz , this driver has a this as a listed fix- Intermittent system or application crash may be observed while using multiple high refresh rate (+120Hz) monitors with HDMI connections.
