since the latest patch 6.1.4.c, the connection to Darth Malgus server is horrible for me (other EU-Servers like Tulak Hord as well), horrendous lag & ping spikes
what I don't understand though: when I connect to the NA-Servers, Star Forge or Satele Shan, I have no problems whatsoever, a constant 100ms, very smooth

Hey. I am with you here. It's not patch related but my problems reocurred at an increased rate in a similar time frame as yours. Run a ping plotter and see the server you go through before hitting darth malgus to confirm we're on the same boat.

From what I gathered the last server I hop through before making it to Darth Malgus is broken or something and causing significant delay and is a reason for high ping. That server belongs to ea/bioware.
Most frustrating is that I live in Ireland not far away from the servers. I used to play with 7-13 ms for years until something happened within the last two years.
Same problem. I live around 1500 km from server. It started around Brexit time and I thought GB is charging more for transit. Looking on your post it is related to BW server. My ping can jumps up to 200 every few seconds.
