During the patch process it makes sense that the folder would expand in size as first you have to download the patch and then install it over the other files.
I'm all done patching, I am on the streaming launcher (really mean to switch that one of these days) and my folder is 32 gb. If you finish up and you're considerably higher than that it may be worth looking into.
