Without knowing the exact wording of the offer, I would guess that the Coins are sheuedeld for somewhere after the 3rd of January.
When i went back to the page that the advert was on it said "you are not eligible because you have subscription time remaining"...it meant the 29 days i know have left.
Any time they do a promotion requiring you to do a certain thing by a certain date, you don't get the reward until that date, or sometimes the day after that day. It may say you are not eligible because you are already on the list to receive the coins, and therefore can't sign up again for it.
I would recommend sitting tight until the 3rd, and see if you get another grant of 500 coins on that date. I've never seen them give out the reward for a promotion before the date the promotion ends, even if it is bonus coins. At that point, if you don't get the coins, I would recommend giving them a call.
