Game crashes to grey screen.

Game continues to randomly crash with grey or orange screen, mostly in Voidstar, within 1 hour of gameplay. When It gets back to the desktop it says SWTOR.exe has been blocked from the graphics driver. Only happens with this game. Rig runs most games on Ultra at 60-100 fps, this game is lucky to get 50 fps in a WZ with frequent drops to 15- 20 fps. Have tried various fixes including turning grass to 0, none of them have worked so far.

    Try placing the video driver into debug mode per here and see if it persists

    what brand of video card is this , EVGA ?

    Tried an older driver version ? the blocking of the game occurs when the video driver fails

    Thank you for your quick response!

    I've now tried running the game on debug mode and can confirm from a solid 8 hrs straight game play, this worked. My gpu is a EVGA GTX 970 ftw+ and yes I've tried many previous driver versions and other "fixes". I have a source that says it could have to do with the TDR drivers, but I didnt look any further because what you suggested is working so far.

    Send an email to EVGA and see if there are any firmware updates for that model card

    The issue will lay in a unstable overclock under directx 9c , but there is nothing wrong leaving the NVidia card in debug mode , this simply returns the card to reference clock speeds (removes any overclock by manufacturer) so the card is still running quite well.

    firmware update may simply fix this for you.
