Just did a fresh windows 10 install on a new hard drive. Been installing all my games and running them with no issues.
Except SWTOR. Game will not launch. Tried all the options listed on this site for fixes....nothing. Don't know what else to do.....

I ran the CRU 1.2.6 and unchecked every established resolution listed for 640X480, 800X600, 1024X768, and 1280X1024 to the left.
I deleted from the drop down menu the 2 listings from my old monitor (Samsung), and for the 2 listings for my new monitor (ASUS), I made sure all options were unchecked to the left, and I deleted all but 1920X1080 from the detailed and standard resolutions.
I made sure both were Custom Extention Block, since it said nVidia had to be listed as that.
I also hooked up the monitor in a method other than HDMI. My graphic card only has a DVI, so I used a DVI to VGA adapter and connected to the monitor with the VGA outlet.
None of these options made the game launch.
I am so beyond frustrated, but I greatly appreciate your assistance. Thanks very much.

Tried a clean boot. Still won't open.
I also did a full uninstall and reinstalled the game. It's back under bitraider now. Game still won't run.
Open a command prompt as administrator and type
sfc /scannow
let this run and see if it has errors
Also create a new administrator account and confirm the same issue under that profile
Did you try reinstalling?
That helps on a lot of problems.
Does just nothing open or do you get a black screen?
Because if you get a black screen try Ctrl + Alt + Delete and open Task manager, it worked with my friend.
Yes nothing more than opening it.
sfc /scannow found no issues.
Made a separate windows account. Game wouldn't run on that.
Enabled the admin account from cmd. Game wouldn't run.
It may be best to try an inplace repair per step No 7 here , if you do this, ensure you select "Keep personal files and apps"
Given the issues with the icons cache there maybe something else going on as well, and this is the easiest way to check.
I did the repair installation for windows. SWTOR still won't open.
