I have a problem when playing GSF: the preview for the targeting computer doesn't work since Legacy of the Sith dropped. I have tried updating drivers, I have tried creating a new UI, I've tried deleting saved profiles. I have tried reinstalling my video drivers. I tried running the repair option in the launcher. I tried running the game in fullscreen instead of windowed mode. I tried running it on my other monitor. I have even tried reinstalling SWTOR and that still has not fixed the problem. Everything else in game works correctly as far as I can tell and other than this the game is playable. It's made GSF frustrating, however, because the information provided in this frame includes the direction the ship you have targeted is facing. Sometimes I can see parts of the ship being displayed in the black circle shape at the top left. While this is a minor issue, it does affect my gameplay against some more experienced players and I would like to finally solve it. No one else in the GSF community has run into this one so I don't think it's a problem inherent to the update, but I'm out of ideas. I did, yes. Thought I mentioned that up there, sorry. It's currently up to date and I've even tried uninstall/reinstall.

Weirder is that this works on the PTS the last time I was able to log in there which was while the Manaan stuff was on the PTS. That is, the error was not present there.

when you did a re-install was it a different location , and or was the previous install deleted first ?

The screenshot you have posted , the training drone has no target though , are you unable to show when the issue occurs ?

That is the issue, though. Whether your target has a target selected or not is irrelevant:

I chose the training drone one as it had a light background that made it much easier to see the visual artifact that should not be there. The problem is that you can not see your target.

If video evidence would help, this is how it is supposed to function: https://youtu.be/tOB2L6haLyY?t=58 timestamp is 0:58 just before I first target someone. You can see how the orientation of my target changes based on where they are (and where they are facing) in relation to me.

In this one you can see that I never get to see the target I have selected beyond the small hints visible behind the artifact at the top left of the targeting computer.

You might be able to see what I'm describing more easily that way.

That makes it look worse (and changes the way the visual artifact looks) but it's an acceptable workaround for now. Thanks so much for the help!

do you use reshade at all ? AA on medium is a known issue with reshade (there is a fix for reshade)

if you dont use reshade this will be an AMD driver issue per sey , you could also try turning off AA in game and turning it on in the profile for the game directly or an older/newer video driver version

Nope, no reshade or even any of the tweaks that AMD has built in. Turning off antialiasing does not get rid of the black oval, either, though again that one is minor enough that I don't mind it much.
Just turned on AMD's antialiasing after double checking that SWTOR's was off and it looks fine at first, but there are some problems:

New visual artifacts on portraits (and probably other things too) and a weird glow around the outside top and left sides of the window. Turning bloom off eliminates the glow, but I don't really want to play without bloom so that's a no-go. I've tried a few of the different modes and they all do this, so it seems like I'll just be sticking with SWTOR's medium for now if I want to play GSF. Doesn't seem likely to get a driver update that fixes this as it's been going on since LotS dropped.
