That's exactly the issue. It's bad enough that they refuse to fix a simple bug that has been reported over and over again since launch. But then they have the gall to actually respond with "Well you can just pay to unlock the feature!" In all seriousness, it takes some SERIOUS nerve to IGNORE A WELL-KNOWN BUG for over a decade and then suggest that people SPEND MONEY to avoid it. This is the ONLY ANSWER they ever give: spend money to fix our bug.

It's even more annoying sitting around for over an hour waiting for the program to update, just to find some minor, completely irrelevant changes, but bugs known of for over a decade still there and untouched and unthought of.

Well yes, but I don't feel like letting my spirits down too much. See, I joined this game's community and made an account and spent hours in the game only after verifying every single MMORPG that is around, and finding that most are utter crap. Literally, they are money milking machines.

This is the best game in the genre, having taken into account the "developer greed factor". I think the reason for that is that EA is rich and has a "full belly" already, so they can be lazy with the game but they don't need to milk everything out of you. I'll stay positive with that thought, having seen how soooo much worse other games are.

Of course this is no excuse for them not to handle the bug or to at least fix it for players at their request.

It's just a meagre consolation.

That's pathetically sad. If this game wasn't Star Wars it would have died a half a decade ago. The simplest things are made cryptic beyond belief. Go try to find out what the rules are for being defeated. Such an important mechanic and how does it work? Damned if I know. The game sometimes lets you revive, and sometimes totally screws you hard by forcing you to go back to Medcenter, often losing a ton of progress. How do you know if it will allow a revival there or at medcenter? You don't. I spent a half hour looking and they don't tell you.

This was after I got killed from enemies respawning in a heroic area - where they are NOT supposed to - and attacked me DURING THE 8 SECOND TIME OUT where they are not supposed to be able to.

If I hadn't put so much effort and a bit of money into this game I'd have uninstalled it a year ago. Playing a game with 15 year old bugs and the only reply you get is "Spend more money tee hee!" is insulting. I'm glad Disney is taking over for EA. I hope we get some quality products for once and -

I hope every last one of you lazy bloodsuckers gets fired and nobody ever hires your worthless * again.

12 year old, well known, highly documented bugs with no resolution or even attempt at resolution, but you sure can find the time to add some new $20 sets of decorative armor to the game! Serious problems that have been reported for over a decade? Sorry, too busy making new mounts to sell for $20 each, no time to actually make the game playable.

If there was ever any evidence that talent and hard work are not required for success, it's you EA. Hopefully your days are done now, and good * riddance.

Disney is... I'll stop myself there. The movies they distributed/produced speak enough for themselves.

EDIT: Especially considering this game is the last bastion of the EU and Legends. Disney is the enemy, it created a new canon and sent to hell the old one deeming it all trash and non existent, taking only the 100% profitable bits.

But if you prefer Disney, cool, enjoy the new masters.

Disney sucks but I feel no sympathy for a company this incompetent and careless. To be over the top in analogy, one source of evil can be used to punish another source of evil. If EA chooses to ignore simple flaws and bugs for years and use it as a way to force people to spend money I feel no sympathy for their loss. How many of these threads have been posted in the past 15 years which they're deliberately chosen to ignore, or used as a way to talk people into spending money to fix THEIR screwup?  "We won't fix this bug but we'll let you spend $10 to purchase a workaround. By the way, we created new facial blemishes! You can add them for only $20!" And it isn't ONE bug. It's DOZENS. And they ignore every. single. one.

Creating new canon and trashing the old? You mean like Lucas did when he ripped all the novels to shreds and deliberately contradicted them in his prequels, going so far as to openly ANNOUNCE that that was what he was doing? Taking some of the best SW stories ever written - by some standards, some better than the movies themselves - and flushing them down the toilet? Or do you mean when he ripped the original trilogy continuity up by contradicting even those movies in the prequels? You know, the ones that reduced Vader to a whiny petulant loser and had such cringy, poorly-written dialogue that people still mock it today? The ones that made up the whole "Jedi have to be loveless ascetics" nonsense whole cloth, contradicting the established cannon, just so that he could shove in a cheesy love story? A guy who will add things to his movies just to spite his audience, according to his own statements. A guy who will never let us see the original trilogy as it was originally released because he wants us to see the version of ANH with Greedo shooting at Han and an illogical cheesy scene where a powerful murderous mob boss allows someone who owes him a fortune to just stomp his tail, who only wants us to see the version of ESB where Palpatine gives away Luke's parentage beforehand, and only wants us to see the version of RotJ with Vader shouting "NOOOOOO!" like a spaz because, remember when he yelled NOOOOOOO in the prequel and wasn't that just SO COOL that we should add it to the original trilogy?

Yeah. I'm really shaking in my boots that Disney might take a franchise that has been ruined multiple times and ruin it again. They might even put out a wildly popular show like "The Mandalorian" that never would have existed under Lucas.

Same here, no need of an explanation, is exaclty the same issue.
