I purchased a second crew skill slot for all characters on my account.
I clicked on Unclaimed Items and selected the purchase.
I then go to one of the Crew Skill Trainers (in this case Underworld Trading) and it states "...You may learn 1 Crew skill..."
How do I unlock the 2nd crew skill I just purchased????
I'm having this same issue. I just purchased a 2nd crew skill slot for all characters and claimed the item i purchased.
When I go to a skill trainer, I get "...You may learn 1 Crew skill...". WTF?
How do I activate the second slot?
Okay, I see it now. It shows up in my inventory and I need to click it to activate it.
IMO it's an unnecessary extra step.

Generally with unlocks claimed from the CM they go to that characters inventory where the unlock can be consumed to apply to the account or character.
The unlocks can usually be moved to other characters, or even sold on the GTN, check the GTN out alot of things bought on the CM with cartel coins can be purchased on the GTN with in-game credits too.
