Is there a way to restore default settings for graphics in SWToR

Hello little people inside my computer!!

Me being an idiot decided to muck around with the graphics in SWToR.  As a result - when I launch SWToR the screen turns black (because of a graphics setting I probably turned on inadvertently.) Is there some way to restore the graphics settings. (maybe delete the client_settings.ini file or something?) I am not a paying customer and apparently poor people are not allowed to contact EA for help for help. So if anyone could please make a suggestion I would really appreciate it.

I have decided to take over the galaxy as a free to play player - it looks challenging (smile).

Mr. Brooks, Thank you very much - That did the trick.

My SWTOR Forum Username = Wazniak

Also note: I have nothing against EA or EA games or employees (laughing). Maybe I will let you join my guild thingymabob one day (big smile). Can a single person non-paying player form a guild thingymabob? I get the feeling I might need to make one if I want to take over the galaxy.

    Peace

    William.

You can create a F2P guild , see this link however from that link it says

Guilds created by and run by Free-to-Play players will find that their Guild features are limited.

    from this link

    • Free-to-Play guilds offer all the social aspects of guild membership, but they do also have a smaller number of features available to them, and a lower leveling bonus.
Players who want to create or join a Free-to-Play guild should know the following:
    • Members of Free-to-Play guilds may not choose when their Guild Tag is displayed.
    • Guild leaders of Free-to-Play guilds may not personalize Guild Rank Names or alter the default rank permissions for their Guild members.
    • Guild members (including the guild leader) may not access the guild bank unless they choose to spend Cartel Coins to unlock access.

If you are a member of a Free-to-Play guild, you will see a message about this on your guild window.

Mr. Owens, Thank you for that information. It will probably take me a while to figure all that stuff out. I'm still trying to figure out how to duck and dodge playing SWToR. I've seen other people duck behind cover - I am not sure if they are able to dodge. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain the guild thing. I am going to take over the galaxy - it will probably take a few years (smile). Another question if you will indulge me - I have never played the online version of SWToR before, only the PC game and I have never (visited the SWToR website until the day or two before yesterday). Do guilds control sectors in game - I ran across a message that "no guild controls this sector" last night when I was playing.

As for the information - I might only be a guild of 1. I remember playing COH, WOW and DND online (Paid subscriber) and if I remember right all 3 required other people to join in order to form a guild (I ended up having to pay people with in game money (not real money or the equivalent) in order to form guilds in COH and WOW) That was what I was really curious about. Thanks again for your patients explaining things to a complete noob to the SWToR universe. I promise to destroy your guild last (big smile).  PS - that is one cute land speeder.

    Peace

    William

    @PongRocks

I use to play COH as well , i havent uninstalled it either 🙂 have the icon still on my desktop

as to guiilds, Yes you will need 3 other players you need to teamed to make the guild

    Create your Guild

To create a Guild, you must form a full four-member party (each founding member cannot be a member of another Guild). The leader of the group will become the Guild Leader. In order to be a Guild Leader, your character must be level 10 or higher.

Once you have met these requirements, visit the Regional Guild administration office (located on Coruscant for Republic and Dromund Kaas for Empire) and pay a one-time fee of 5,000 Credits. Type in the name you would like your guild to have and click on Create to form your Guild.

The Guild Leader can create new ranks of the Guild, and assign powers to those ranks. He or she can also send a message of the day that Guild members see upon login.

Guilds created by and run by Free-to-Play players will find that their Guild features are limited.

A guild must have at least 4 characters as members (the minimum amount needed to create the guild in the first place).

The maximum number of potential guild members is 1000 characters.

Also be aware if the guild leader is absent for more then 30 days the leadership will pass to the next person online

Holly Cats! What servers? I had guilds on all of them but mostly played on Freedom. Sometimes on the RP server (can't remember the name off the top of my head - Virtue maybe? )I stopped playing when they decided to shut the game down - A truly horrific moment in history... I played for about 8 years. (one of the nice things about being the only member of a guild - when they pass the leadership on - it comes right back to you - big smile). My main character was Wolfgang Tao 50 scrapper Kantina/SR on Freedom. I ended up deleting a lot of my lvl 50's because they didn't have enough slots per server and I wanted to try things out - I also played the villain side which was  a lot of fun as well and had guilds on several servers also. My favorite being the Goblin Army. (Sorry, I digress - I truly loved that game).

PS - can the members be your own characters? if I have 4 characters on a SWToR server do they count as guild mates?
