Losing audio

HI.

While in game the audio keeps cutting out. Created in-game ticket. Their advice was to try ctrl+s twice, didn't work. I can't remember what else they said, but none of it worked.

If I'm in dialogue or cutscene then the characters sort of t-pose. In that their mouths don't work. They just stay open and I have to spacebar through the dialogue. Also sometimes if I have to do that, then my screen resolution on desktop is messed up.

This is becoming ridiculous. I had 30 minutes game time the other day and audio cut out 3 times.

If anyone can help, thankyou

    Looking through the dxdiag

Not a good sign at the start, not sure why
DxDiag Previously: Crashed in system information (stage 4) & MediaFoundation (stage 1). Re-running DxDiag with "dontskip" command line parameter or choosing not to bypass information gathering when prompted might result in DxDiag successfully obtaining this information

Motherboard bios is version F5 from August 2016, the latest is version F26G in 2024 check this link  (click on Bios to expand)
Shows that F20 Nov 2016 is needed to support your CPU

Your video driver is 14th August 2024 version 560.94
Latest nvidia driver is July 1st 2025 version 576.88 at this link

Oddly enough it doesn't show any hard drives and it should list them, so cant check fee drive space

Other then that it shows crash reports you can view at the end of the dxdiag

    Win OS dll crashes with
Razer Synapse Service Process.exe with ntdll.dll
    GameManagerService3.exe with KERNELBASE.dll
    GalaxyClient Helper.exe with ucrtbase.dll
    svchost.exe_DiagTrack with ucrtbase.dll

    and non OS
EACefSubProcess.exe with libcef.dll (this is a chromium framework dll)

ucrtbase crashes where common a few years back , the cause was windows 10 was not updated to the latest version
check that all windows updates and optional windows updates are installed, in particular for .net and c++

I would confirm that your motherboard is the one i linked and update the bios, and update the video driver as a starting point

game repair is greyed out in settings. Also, I can't find where to reinstall the game.

  • If the Audio output changes after the game starts then directsound can have sound cutout and even cause game issues
I gather you have tried a game repair or tried a game reinstall

A link to a dxdiag per this guide, it would help to understand the hardware and drivers being used
