This is going to be a bit of a rant!
Let me start with this - I'm all for account security. However, when this security stops me playing the game that I pay for and also prevents me from accessing my account using swtor.com something is not right with the process.
My problem is related to the "One Time Password" feature. In my case, it is not working. I'm not receiving the e-mail that should be generated. This stops me from playing, although annoying I understand the security concept. That this stops me from creating a support ticket or even posting on the official SWTOR forums however is ridiculous.
I've been trying to get online since 12:00GMT. Eventually waited for customer services to open up shop, surely they can help me with this? Reset my account, whatever is needed to get me online right? How disappointing that experience was. Nothing against the three customer service representatives that I spoke to but they offered no solution to my problem whatsoever.
Apparently there is a problem with any @hotmail account linked to this game. If you're one of those people, you're not going to be receiving any e-mails currently. Doesn't matter if it is to reset your password, or in my case, receiving the One Time Password e-mail. Ok, so they know about it, are they working on it to solve it? Nobody knows! Try back again after an hour was the message. I've been trying for the last 5 hours, my patience is running out.
I've paid for two accounts, six months upfront. That I'm not impressed at the moment is an understatement.
