The best thing you can do at your end initially is confirm a wired connection direct to the router/modem, this is just to eliminate wifi as an issue.
Grab www.pingplotter.com and set it to say www.google.com and have it running in the background and check for changes when the DCs occur.

I am directly connected to the router. I ran that program and saw the spikes, what could be causing those?
I gather you have restarted the router/modem ? is there a modem bridged to the router if so best to break the bridge and retest.
if it persists I would show these to the ISP as it could be a link issue.
This sort of issue is likely the cause of the disconnects

Restarted many times, no bridge, I guess to the dreaded circle of cox cable support I go. Thanks for the help.
Fraid so, Think is best, if this is cable, if there is a bit of rust on an external cable tap for example , it may cause what is being seen in the pingplot.
Let us know how you get on with this, always handy on the causes found.
