Random Pet not summoning a random pet

So I've got the Random Pet perk for the legacy tree and it does not work. I've tried everything I can think of and even solo with no companion it won't work. Is it glitched out at the moment?

No, what I mean is that the Random Pet button selects a random pet from your pet collection. If you have not collected any pets, it won't do anything because it cannot summon a pet.

The Random Pet button is always lit up, even if you have no pets collected, so don't trust on that.

Glad I could help you! And don't worry, getting pets is not very difficult or expensive. Just go to your GTN, pick the Pet category and you'll find plenty pets for like 30k credits each.
