Re: Can't go to Imperial Fleet (crash)

@kalel197189 Did you ever resolve it? I'm having the same problems 3 months later. Had no problems with anything else in the game. Then I made a new with character and I can't got to the imperial fleet. And there is no way around that. Game is broken.

Tried all that repair/bitraider * as well and nothing.

  • @proxos666 Just tried it on one of my old imperial characters (who's far ahead in the game) and it's the same result. Can't go to Imperial fleet.

with the game and laucnher not running

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor  and delete just the file called diskcachearena

then run the repair and try once more

Before trying what you just suggested I figured I'd try it on another PC (my laptop), which is actually worse than my stationary. And I'm actually using the exact same files as I did for my stationary cause I've installed the game on a USB external hard drive. So I just popped it on on my * laptop and logged in. AND IT WORKED. I have no idea why. It's lagging and it's almost unplayable (cause * laptop). But at least it got me onto the imperial fleet.

And no, I hadn't altered any files at all this time.

    This isn't making any sense.

That discachearena file is one of the games cache files , deleting and launching will make the game create a fresh one in case the cache is borked

otherwise if both systems have an up to date game files , can try and copy the asset folder from the working system to the asset folder of the system with the issue

If you run into this again

If one system causes an issue and the other doesnt lower all gfx settings next time, the main diference is they will have different app data folders and different client_setting files located in the appdata area

  • @proxos666 Exactly! And it works on my * laptop with the same files but not on my stationary PC.

And I tried the thing you suggested previously (cache) and it didn't work either.

with the game and launcher not running

Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time

Copy the following in to the text box and press ok

    %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings

    Delete the client_settings.ini file
