Validation email is required regardless of subscription status. In order to not have to validate your email every time you log into the game, you can add a security key to your account as per here.  Once added unless you reset your password, it won't request an email validation when you go to log in.

As for the email validation itself, your having issues receiving the email, see this guide here.

Responses to tickets vary from 2 - 3 business days.  Note that if you submit a ticket as bug report, those do not get a response.

    I already have a security key on my account and have not reset my password recently. I'm certain I had already validated some time in the past, I am not sure why I am being asked to do it again now.

    I read through the link regarding receiving the validation email, I am absolutely floored that I have to use a temp email to validate as this seems a pretty massive security hole. I will try this, but I am sure I will continue with a subscription here if security is this loose.

    Shame that ticket responses take that long, just another reason why this game might not be worth paying for. Thanks anyway.
