Depends on the ISP , I have seen this issue with both Starhub and Singtel over the years , easiest is to phone them and ask them if they can assign a different IP address from a different class to the modem.

Edit - found a old starhub thread here

I called them regarding this issue. The customer officer told me that she can't change it manually and I could only wait 72 hrs or power off for more than 10 mins and the IP address will be changed automatically.

I tried powering off for more than 15 mins, yet I'm still receiving this issue.

I just tried changing my DNS server, still of no avail.

DNS change will have no affect only a VPN will , need to get past their tier 1 level support

This will correct on its own just when not sure

Is the ping to manifest.swtor.com still failing ?

OMG, this is making me so frustrated. I spent the whole night fixing and troubleshooting without any sleep. *Sigh*

If the ping to manifest.swtor.com is only working via a VPN then it is a routing issue, there is nothing but use a VPN on your end to work around that.

One thing that will help confirm this is to connect to a different internet provider say at a friends house and you should find it works just fine

Yeap, I could only ping manifest.swtor.com, patched up and launched the game with VPN. Anyway to bypass the launcher and off my VPN afterwards, yet still able to play SWTOR? Once I off my VPN during character selection, it lands me to server selection and there is none for me to select from.
