Re: freeze and crash after changing settings

@Lohaen94

What happens if you leave the refresh rate at 60 , and adjust the frame rate to 200 and then back to 100 ?

    @proxos666 unfortunately whatever setting i am going to change, on the screen where i am asked whether to keep or convert the changes, the game freezes and i am forced to terminate the process from the task manager

    @proxos666I can confirm that the problem appears to only occur if I change the refresh rate, I did some test and if I try to change the refresh rate option, the game freeze and then crash, after re-launching the game, the refresh rate effectively seems to have changed even if the game crashed... while changing all the other settings does not involve any freezes and crashes

    can you also now paste the contents of the client_setting file

    Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time

    Copy the following in to the text box and press ok

    %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings

    Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad

    @Lohaen94

    ok the refreshrate is set at 180 ... so need to change that to say 100

    also just to confirm you are playing swtor on the LG ULTRAGEAR  and not the Benq as the native resolution is set for 2560 x 1440

    Edit: can you provide the exact model of the LG monitor

    @Lohaen94

    there is a chance the game is mixing up the benq and lg capabilities hence asking for model numbers and what is used to play swtor etc

    @proxos666 ok so until the devs have solved the problem, if I ever need to change the refresh rate I will do it via the client_settings.ini file

    @proxos666yes modify the refresh rate, via client_settings.ini file, works as a workaround... thanks a lot ^^
