Re: ONE TIME PASSWORD

I am having the same issue and I have the security key attached to my account.  I am able to log in to the forums and I tried changing my e-mail address on the forums which went through but I am still not receiving the one-time password after I had to install the game on a new computer.  I enter my username, password and security key and then the game requests a one-time password.  I wait and wait and nothing.  Please help

The normally issues receiving the email can be due to using the email address on another ea/origin or swor account, net result is the email fails to appear.

if able to change the email being used to one never used on any account before usually resolves the issue.

there is also this guide link in case it is being filtered, if no joy then you will need to call swtor support so they can assist changing the email to one that does receive the emails.

  • You would think that if a company is having issues sending to email vendors they would just disable the feature for verification or offer that option from the website so players can actually get their accounts working and get on to play.  Id rather turn off verification than be stuck trying to call a number that tells me no one is available and hangs up.  So I have resorted to sending an email ticket in but if they cant send me an email reply its not going to go anywhere.  I tried working with EA itself but since I no longer have the original disks or box for the game I cant really provide them a code to work with since its been well over 5+ years.  Still trying because the wife wants me to play but just not getting anywhere with support.

@blackavar79 Hey there, support is currently only being handled over in-game tickets and email per this post due to the coronavirus. Just to clarify, have you tried the steps in this guide yet? If you have and you're still not receiving a one-time password, I'd suggest waiting for support to respond to your email.

@ExiledRival correct.  I have emailed [edit: email address removed] and got a bogus answer to change my email in my account which I cant log into to change because it wants to verify the One Time Email which just wont arrive.  Since then I have been on three different live chats, where they spoke to the SWTOR team for me and guarantied I would be responded too which never happened.  I even changed my EA/Origin Email entirely to a new email, and then a new email and provider and verified I was able to receive the techs email.  Still wont receive the one time email from either EA/Origin or SWTOR even after waiting 15-30 minutes after requesting it.

Ive tried requesting the access through EA/Origin, the SWTOR Site, and through the Launcher all options fail.  Id love to setup the security through Mobile but even that I need access to the account first to be able to setup or change anything.  It tells me its sending the one time email.  Honestly if the one time email is causing so much trouble it should be disabled for the time being.
