Re: Steam subscription not working.

@proxos666 my swtor account was created in 2012 - i don't know if EA account was also created back then, but yeah, I think it was the issue here - I was not sure how it works and i couldn't check email in account settings as it only shows the first letter and both my emails start with the same one, so I chose to reset pass for account with the email i knew for sure was used to register EA account. Thank you for responses will wait for support reply.

    Game time has been added 

    if not done so yet, you will need to cancel the swtor subscription in your steam account, it can be repurchased when this gametime ends 

    The linked ea account email is listed on the purchase history page on the right of that page

    @proxos666 Yeah, I've received an email recently. I've already cancelled steam sub. Would buy sub from the website next time hehe. Thank you so much for assistance, have a nice day 🙂
  • Mate, i was having the same problem, so i sent an email, and did what was requested, reset the password, sent the screenshots, but this is the response:

    I'm sorry your Steam Subscription Purchase didn't go through, it's very frustrating when you don't get what you pay for. Please don't worry, we can fix this for you. The Proof of Purchase screenshots that you had sent in are valid, however, after investigating into your account, I have found that there is a problem with the EA account that is linked to your Star Wars account which caused this to take place - and that needs to be taken care of before we can add the game time to your account. Since this pertains to your account security, our privacy policies don't allow us to handle sensitive data over email. You would need to contact our phone support. I have appended the phone numbers for our voice support,

    I can't call for i have a hearing problem, could you give a hand?

    swtor account displayname ? can check if it can be resolved without calling 

    you can have someone call on your behalf providing you are there to provide responses to prove as the account owner

    have flagged to check the account , response will be in about 8 hrs when swtor support are online for the day

    as to calling i am aware alot of deaf people use text to speech programs when calling

    To fix the account issue for future purchases, You can try to reset the password on the linked EA account "etwinol5q" that account has been disabled (so it is not the EA account your posting on now)
    The linked ea account uses a different email to swtor and is also a hotmail email and had to of been used on the swtor account previously

    use this link (insert the correct hotmail email address into that link) to reset the password then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing

  • Would love to, but that email has been erased, and outlook wont allow me to remake with the same adress

    try contacting EA likely Tuesday in regards to the ea account persona etwinol5q 

    use the following link once you are logged into help.ea.com https://help.ea.com/help-contact-us/?product=ea-account&platform=&topic=login-ea-account&category=manage-my-account&subCategory=cant-log-in and see if you can chat to someone to recover that ea account

    Give them the persona etwinol5q and you should know what the hotmail email address was on the account and see if they can update the email for you

    I've already emailed swtor support team and sent the 3 screenshots of my steam account.

    Strange I'm experiencing this issue when I used to subscribe via Steam for a while in the past without issue.

    Same here.... I've submitted the ticket 3 times and they just close them with "Fixed" or "Duplicate".  Screenshots were included.  Still not working and my account still shows inactive on swtor.com.

    I also reset my password and have the option to buy the sub on swtor.com.(In the future this is where I will sub and not through steam)  But since Steam wont refund the sub and I grabbed the 90 day one, I want those 90 days lol.

    need to wait for swtor support, ea will close a ticket automatically as it is now up to swtor support, submitting more can make you reset in the queue

    flagged to check the account for issues and they have your screenshots , response will be in about 9 -10 hrs when support are online for the day

    Thanks proxos666 you rock!!! Thanks for the explanation, I was under the impression EA Help supported SWTOR so thanks for that.  I'll just wait, figure they are not back in until Tuesday anyways.  If I don't see anything by say Wednesday I'll call in.  I followed your instructions to a T so I imagine its just that they are out for the holidays.

    yes , the UK line and US lines are one and the same English line , the others are french and german lines
