hopefully know more next week, after they get a chance to reproduce this
I'm having the same issue. Steam client. I've tried all the suggestions I could find. Running Steam as admin didn't work. I'm running Windows 11. Steam is not installed to the default directory, so not sure if that's maybe playing a role in the issue.

This issue is only affecting new installs
Copying the eula.setting file from a SSN install or PTS steam install should stop this for now Yep, having this issue. Mildly frustrating.
Im sorry, where I cant find eula.setting? All installation folders are default, both Steam and SWTOR. WIn11.
I played 30h. already but this issue is still a thing. Would love to fix it- proxos6662 years agoHero+
if you have installed the non steam version it will be in the main game folder on the standalone version, it needs to be copied into the game location you have steam version installed

do i create a eula.settings folder i dont see it, ive seen stuff online about that
- proxos6662 years agoHero+
i is a text file , you need to install say the non steam game and copy the text file to to steam game location

is anything in the text file, do i need to install from the other launcher or can i copy and paste the text?
- proxos6662 years agoHero+
copy and paste the file itself
- MrYoda152 years agoSeasoned Newcomer
ok
For any devs looking into this - the eula.settings file doesn't generate at all for new installs via Steam. Found this when checking to make sure it wasn't read-only. Could be related?

known issue with new steam installs
Thanks for answer. Is this file exclusive for each player/install or someone who have non-steam version can share this file?
Soooo, after 2 game updates. there is still no fix.
Just a question, does copying the file mentioned above actually work? because I don't particularly want to install another copy of the game for just 1 small text file, especially if it doesn't work.
Thanks
Edit: Ok, i found this thread...
forums.swtor.com/topic/931246-eula-bug-fix/
where "Yelajiwa" explains what to do to get this file without having to install/download the full game again. I can confirm that it DOES work. This irritation is now gone.
- @Rams101 I checked their comment and that's exactly what others already said to do in this thread
