Security Key

Hey all,

I use to have a security key attached to my account but after a break from the game i had switched my phone and forgot about the security key, i also had access to my email account registered to the SWTOR account taken away too as Microsoft likes to be difficult with associated accounts (Long story short i had put a new email address to be associated with my old account then deleted the old email address associated with my account thinking that all emails would be directed to my new email, but it didn't and the old email address is lost forever)

so i cant get any one off keys sent to my email.
I tried ringing customer support for australia but it always says they are occupied and then ends the call.

I am out of options in retrieving my SWTOR account now. I cant find anyway to start a ticket or case online either for SWTOR.

the key removal instructions at this link require a working password

so if both your password is wrong and the key is required to be removed as well then you are best to call swtor cs - numbers are in this link

I am in the exact same boat as you - I stayed up late to hopefully catch their opening times but still says they are occupied.......Will keep trying for a bit longer tonight but I don't know what else to do

This is my situation. Its like they shut down their phone service.

There is no way to recover accounts or even contact anyone to help you.

Was anyone able to get through on the phones? I'm not aware of any issues with the phone so I wanted to see if it was still happening. You can try to use the numbers here if your still having issues and then like Skype or WhatsApp to see if you can call using those numbers.

Nope haven't been contacted yet by any representative of EA on this forum or cant get through on the phone, I have tried contacting at different times but just get the same pre recorded message. I might try the skype numbers later.

The battery life in my physical authenticator has reached its end. I never had the app set up before then and I currently cannot access my account without my old password (which I have forgotten, but even if I had it I cannot bypass the authenticator key on login) I cannot see a way to contact them it seems to all be dead ends.

You can replace the battery in your digipass go 6.
Its a pain to get it open.
Its glued together, but if you are careful you can razer blade the sides and pop it apart.
What I did to mine. It takes a 2032 3v battery like most key fobs.
There is also 5 tiny screws holding down the internal circuit board to the display.
They have to be removed to remove the battery.
They also need to be securely reattached so the display works.

i have a working password. if i do it in the browser it doesn't give me the "Lost Security Key?" option. if i do it in the game launcher, that option shows up but it sends me to this dud link: https://www.swtor.com/support.

every time i've tried calling CS it sends me straight to a voice message and ends the call.
