Hi, I have a very annoying problem with the story mode.
It started on the planet "Alderaan" and I thought it was a problem limited to that planet. Instead, unfortunately, I have noticed that this t...
I have seen reports of UI vanishing after 5.0
The only things on your end that you can try is run a game repair and delete the games cache
With the launcher closed , right mouse click on the game shortcut and select open file location
now in that location , delete the folder called bitraider , then click into the swtor folder and delete the file called diskcachearena (do not delete the swtor folder)
then start the launcher
mmm..ok i'll try it. Thank you!
But first you should know that yesterday I had the well-known problem of "This application encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again".
So I followed your suggestions, I delete the file called "bretaider" and opened the "launcher" file with note pad and changed my references from "BR; true" to "SSN; false", once downloaded everything I restored my references.
This enabled me solve the problem, however, that problem of the "skill bar" still remained (There was the first and still is).
So, Before I try your method I want to know: I have to delete again the file called "Betraider"?
If you have swapped to SSN being the non streaming launcher then no
what you can do is delete the diskcachearena file then when you start the launcher
after login , select the username pulldown on the top right and select settings, then press repair.
I followed your advice but the problem persists.
other tips? Can I contact support? do you think they had something to do more?
Given you have re-installed the game and deleted the cache , I cant see a lot more on your end
The UI itself is based on a version of autodesk scaleform , go through and install from 2008 the latest C++ installs just to be sure it isn't down to something on the C++ side of the house.
Other then that it may require a patch , will keep an eye out for anything that points to this being a bug
