I can't log in (SWTOR Official launcher)

When I try to log into my account (it is newly made) I get an error message that says "The login service is currently unavailable. Details can be found on our Twitter account." but when I go to their Twitter account there is nothing about a server shutdown or anything like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
