SLI/Crossfire

Hello, i would like to tell you about a common issue on SWTOR.

SLI or Crossfire bring stuttering, less smoth game than 1 card. Is it normal?

Is it normal also that this game use about 50% of the gpu power event with v-sync and all g-sync stuff disabled?

Disable upscaling, set maximize power for this game, i tried every settings it's possible, i tried a lot of gpu's (i'm a reviewer) but still the same....

Maybe it's time to bring power to your graphic engine.

Best regards.

    up...

    I really doubt that they are gonna say anything or code anything. This game had such potential that Im sad to look at current state. Correct me if Im wrong but I never saw them to admit anything regards to performance/engine issues.

    I think it will Run it cores until it doesnt.

    I'll correct you 😉

    When asked about a 64-bit client at Gamescom Cantina Tour '15 they responded that they may do that if there is enough interest.

    @cheaterll

    HAHAHA I bet that is just referring to the launcher client .... now that can easily be updated to 64bit the core game not so much .....

    Well if thats the case, whats the definition of interest to them?

    There was and there is a tons of tons of reply on offical forums , here  and reddit about fps drops/ issue of ui's/ sli problems/ multi-thread problems and so on...

    We all know the issue. People asked and waited for answers and improvements. But there wasnt any. It only gone worst with every update. now we are living in DirectX 12 age with great hardware power. If I had a Gtx980Ti Sli or a Titan and still experince fps drop in warzones and 16M ops I would of gone crazy as well.

    Many people quitted this game because of these issues. Maybe thats why they dont find interest anymore, cause there arent many left to show insterest...

    I love this game and hate at the same time. Many people do. The answer that I waited was something like this:

    "Yes we are acknowledge  there is engine and graphic issues and we are trying to fix them. Issues we are having are: ................. and ................. and ............ and ................................
    we have to fix them for a smooth gameplay so we wont be publish any new content (which they dont anyhows) until 3 months.(or whatever time) "

    Now that looks like a responsible and trustworthy company. Not the  "please update your drivers and check your connection and make sure there arent any resource draining apps because everything is working fine in our end."

    That full of BS and lies plain and simple. And people saw it, and they dont trust the game or developers or the company anymore. Cause over 4+ years, they didnt do anything to gain our trust.

    That's all they said. Sadly.

    My sentiments exactly. I have pretty much the best possible PC for SWTOR - overclocked i7-6700K and a GTX 980 Ti - and I still drop below 30 FPS regularly even in 8m ops.

    Edit: SWTOR is on two SSDs in RAID 0 and I did not get FPS impovements when moving the whole game to RAM with SWTOR Unleashed.

    Up to get the thread active and show that people care about this game.

    Maybe (dream on) dev will see that players (customers?) want to have an better experience with this game!

    @cheaterll @Ptiwhisky

    Have you tested the other SLI modes to see if they perform any better, AFR is the likely one currently used in the swtor profile as default (assumption).

    Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR),

    Split Frame Rendering (SFR),

    Boost Performance Hybrid SLI,

    SLIAA and

    Compatibility mode.

  • I'm not a fool =D

    But seriously yes move pre renderer frame can also help a bit but the engine is still very slow when there is more than 1 trash on an operation or anything else this game must be upgradaded seriously.
