Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Updating Problem

Hey, so i recently downloaded Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on my PC off a physical copy of the game. It says that there are available updates, but when i try start them, it says it cant conn...

    maybe try posting in the reddit kotor forum , on their right toolbar for example it points to a community patchv1.8
