Steam bundle purchase, payment went through but not added to account

So it's been a long sunday afternoon here trying to just get a sub so I can enjoy playing this game again. I first tried to purchase 1 month sub on swtor.com to which paypal was failing and credit cards were not being accepted, so I decided to link my account to steam and download through there.

I waited for the game to download, I checked if my swtor account was linked to my steam account which it is/was when I checked before making a purchase through steam.

I also reset my EA password with the same email as my swtor account which probably isn't linked since I first joined swtor in 2014 but haven't played for 4-5 years.

Now through steam, I first tried to purchase 60 days gametime sub through steam to which it came up as pending, I was confused by this and cancelled it straight away as I didn't like that it said pending.

I next tried to buy the 'Join the Fight bundle' which I hadn't seen before, to which after trying to purchase it said pending payment again. I was cooking lunch after trying the purchase and didn't realise this until I came back. I cancelled this and decided I would add $50 AUD to my Steam Wallet in the hopes that it wouldn't say pending payment again.

I then checked my bank account, $50 AUD  ANNDDD $49.95 (Price of Bundle) had come out of my account, so this last purchase pending that I cancelled almost went through but then didn't.

Now I tried again with steam wallet money which was 100% in there. This payment also said pending so I left it for around 2-3 hours and came back to which it was still pending, but after sitting at my computer for 5-10 minutes it went through.

But now, even though it has gone through, the bundle has not been added to my account, I am still preferred status, didn't recieve the Cartel Coins or anything else in said bundle. Is someone able to check if this is pending on my account because I am going to try and get a refund from steam if this steam payment isn't going to work.

If I have to get steam refund, how can I buy this bundle / get a sub with the website payments not working and steam (potentially) not working..?

Ok the email you need to input  into this link  and reset the password on that ea account is a @googlemail.com and needs to be etered as googlemail.com , it is the same email for gmail used on swtor , but it is seen as a different email address on the accounts

hope that makes sense  so use "yourswtoremail"@googlemail.com

When an account is disabled for subscribing  as evidenced by not able to purchase on swtor.com, no gametime can be added to the account from any sourc, so steam and codes will not apply to the swtor account

Need the swtor account displayname to check the account for issues on Monday when support are online for the day

As to the steam purchase you will need to email screenshots as per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message just be aware the gametime wont be able to added until the account issue is resolved

edit:  however steam pending issues is not part of the above account issue

When you created the swtor account an EA account was created and linked to the swtor account , after creation you can use different emails and passwords on each account

The linked ea account can be disabled due to long term inactivity , this causes purchasing to stop on the swtor account and gametime cant be applied

You can try entering the email address used to "create" the swtor account (this may or may not be a different email to what is now used on the swtor account) into this link  and reset the password on that ea account

then use incognito mode with chrome or delete the web browser cache and cookies and see if the issue persists

can check with swtor support when the are back online on Monday for the nature of the account issue

  • Happy to wait until monday, I am going to send these steam screenshots through as well in the time being. I have checked all accessible emails that possibly could have been used in the first creation of my swtor account. Payment through website still not working. I will await a response from support and hopefully something will come up, really want to play, not going to play until I recieve the sub..

  • Also, Im unaware if the email associated with my swtor account is the same as when the account was first created, I could only guess and I would rather just wait for a confirmation

can let me know when you think its done and i can recheck

The EA  and Swtor accounts look good now, swtor support will add the gametime soon, they will email you when its done

if this is a recurring subscription it needs to be canceled in the steam account, it can be repurchased again after the gametime support adds has finished
