Steam gifted game time

Forgot to add, I am unable to put in a ticket. Apparently that's for subscribers only... I tried calling but everytime I try I get a message saying no one is available. I tried Steam support but it just points me to EA help. I did email support but I'm hoping to get faster help here. For what it's worth I made a new account since I don't remember the email/pass for my last one I haven't touched in years. But I don't believe I ever associated that account with my Steam ever so don't think that's the issue.

I hate to reply with no answer, but I'm real eager to get this sorted. We're going on almost a week now with no solution. I'm close to saying screw it and buying it myself but I'm afraid EA will steal my money too and I'll still be out of game time. Sorry if I sound frustrated, I am. I just want to play.
