I can't make purchases on the SWTOR website

For some reason, I can't make any purchases on the official SWTOR website. Whenever I try I get this message

"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance"

I'd really rather not go to customer support so I'm trying to figure out what it is exactly. Can someone help me?

You need to reset the password on the linked EA account that account has the persona thomashur (not Tomhur18 your posting on now) that EA account uses a Gmail email (swtor has a different email)

use the following link to reset the password then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing

for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared

How would I be able to check if SWTOR is linked? I have two EA Accounts now, but I don't see either as linked to my SWTOR and I'm getting the same error now.

The email used on the linked ea account is displayed on the transaction history page in swtor , but you may not be able to reach that page if the account is disabled for swtor

if you provide your swtor displayname i can flag to check the account , however it will be tuesday before a response due to holidays, alternatively you can call swtor support when the lines are open and they can assist getting this sorted

I am returning after some time and it will not let me buy a subscription. I have updated all my emails and passwords for SWTOR and EA. My username for EA was a bunch of random numbers and letters, but I tried to match my SWTOR one, which is XOTOC, and it was taken.

the swtor account and linked ea account are managed separately and can have different emails and passwords, so using the same email on accounts does not create a linkage
the original email used to create the swtor account would of been used on the linked ea account

have flagged to check the swtor account xotoc for issues, response will be in about 8 - 9 hrs when support are online for the day
