Steam subscription not working. Support loop.
Hi,
New here with a problem that plagues a lot of players apparently. Didn't know if I should post in another player's topic or make a new one.
As many players here, I encountered the problem where I bought 30 days subscription from Steam and it doesn't activate in-game. I've read all the steps on the forum and applied the majority of advices:
- having the same email address for both EA/SWTOR + password change.
- used different browsers.
- submitting screenshots with my Steam account and purchase history to SWtoR support to prove that I've bought the sub.
- submitted a ticket on Steam which sent me to SWtoR support.
On top of the issue with the sub purchase from Steam, I have the issue in SWtoR account where I can't subscribe directly or redeem a code. The message displayed is written below:
"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support for further assistance."
I've got a generic reply from SWtoR support where it says that I have to call support to resolve the issue. I've tried calling the UK, but unfortunately the number can't be reached. Is this some kind of loop scam? How can I resolve my problem if the only solution doesn't work?
Another big issue is that my a lot of my characters and progression is missing. Feels like my account had a rollback. Do I have to make a different ticket for this as well?
Is there another way to resolve this issue? It's starting to get pretty bothersome.
