Stretched models on 21:9 aspect ratio
I recently purchased an Acer Predator X34 ultra-wide monitor. The native resolution of this monitor is 3440x1440 (21:9 ratio).
The problem is that even though I change the resolution in settings, the character models all seem to be quite stretched out (the UI and all that look just fine). From research that I've done it seems that this is because SWTOR is still using the 16:9 aspect ratio, instead of 21:9. Nothing I have tried has gotten it to use the 21:9 aspect ratio of my monitor.
The things I have tried:
- Changing NativeWidth and NativeHeight to 3440 and 1440 in C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings\client_settings.ini
- Creating a 5120x2160 custom resolution in NVidia control panel to have a higher resolution than the maximum 3840x2160 resolution
- Modifying my monitors EDID info using CRU to remove all references of 3840x2160 resolution
None of these have worked. Any suggestions of what else I could try? I'm doing a re-install but I don't think that is going to help much
