Seemed strange with being able to do the Flash Points already, was hoping access was open to the non-Knights of the Fallen Empire content. 

So, at 20.10. this year i bought a gametime card for SW:ToR (i know i know, a little late for the new content and stuff, or so it seems as i did not get any) and

began to level up my Sith Maraudeur.

I also could start the Hutt Cartel Storyline and also have checked that i can start the Revan Storyline (talked to the robot at the Fleet and are now on my way

to talk to Darth Arkous).

But still i can't get more xp to surpass Level 55.

i already have enough to get to Level 56, but everytime i finish a quest or a mob or do something else which brings xp nothing changes.

So, is this a bug?

Can there be something done about it?

Not a bug, all aspects of accessing the new expansion come into play when you gain access to the expnasion as a whole, this includes all previous expansions. On Tuesday the 27th, you will be able to level past 55 and do all SoR and KOTFE content. You do have access to the increased character per server cap, though, as that was part of the 4.0 patch that gave everyone the global changes with KOTFE, and that gave you 2 extra character slots. Maybe try out a new toon until Tuesday, check out the new solo mode flashpoints along the leveling path, and see how streamlined leveling is now (supposed to be about 6x the speed of before, not quite 12x xp, but on all the time). Explore what you can until the 27th, and then dive in on the 27th and join in on the fun.
