SWTOR client stuck on loading character
Hi all,
After seeing The Force Awakens I was getting all excited over the game again, which I hadn't played in a year. The launcher patched the game to the newest version and then I discovered I couldn't load any of my characters on Ebon Hawk. I also tried to create a new character, but it wouldn't load either.
I went online to see if there was anything I could do, tried the following things:
Double checked if swtor.exe and launcher.exe were exempt in my Windows Firewall. They are.
Double checked if port forwarding is on for port 8995, 12000-12999 and 20000-30000 on both TCP and UDP. Check.
My graphics drivers are up-to-date (nVidia GeForce GT 740)
Flushed DNS in command prompt
Deleted the Bitraider map and the DiskCacheArena
Ran the Launcher Repair Utility
and when that also didn't work, I uninstalled the game and did a clean new install.
Nothing works. It loads until say 90% and then goes idle, the droid eye is spinning and nothing else. Eventually it will give up and go back to character select and the process repeats when I select another character to login or create a new character. They never load and I seem to be stuck at the last bit of character loading.
What could this be?
