SWTOR Crashing on Character Select

I've recently decided to get back on SWTOR for a bit to check out the new patch content, but as soon as I get to character select, then click literally ANYWHERE on the screen, it crashes.  I can't even get in game to report a problem.  And you've decided to get rid of Support Emailing, as far as I can tell, which is a mistake.  So, I'm posting here, after reinstalling SWTOR and it still having the issue.

I just want to play TOR. Help.

EDIT: Just fyi. This is still a problem for me.  Not sure about the others who posted that this was messing up for them as well.  The only "fix" is hitting Alt+Enter on start up to force it into windowed mode, then changing it back to Windowed Borderless once in game.  Very annoying.  Not sure if it's solely Bioware's problem, or Microsoft's Creator Update.  Hopefully the next updates from either fix it.

If this is fullscreen mode when this occurs ? push the alt+enter when the game starts , this should switch to window mode , just want to confirm it still occurs

@proxos666 Updated driver, same thing.  I run Full Screen (Windowed), tested first launch with Full Screen only. After having to sign in with the 1st crash as the launcher doesn't let me adjust settings on the fly it logged right in after logging out and in.  Will try a few times throughout the day to validate the fix, one test a trend does not make. Will update this post if it crashes again at character screen or doesn't after multiple attempts.

If it is the cause, definately need to get this up the chain.  Not sure if its a SWTOR issue or Nvidia but sounds like SWTOR since its happening for @Owlbehr also.

I have the same problem, at least sometimes, since it I have it only on the PC and not on the Laptop,

first has Creator Update second not, seems at least connected.

What I did, and I can play after a few Game restarts, Checking and updating of the Network Drivers , install DirectX 9.

Okay I haven't been able to reproduce the crash in FullScreen, been logging in and out about 5 times since last post of mine. Sadly i hate playing full screen as it minimizes the game when I move to my other monitor to change up my music or show i'm watching, which increases risk of crashing the game. As soon as I switched back to FullScreen (Windowed) crashed on first attempt.  I loaded the game on my other PC which hasn't updated to Creator yet, works fine in FullScreen (Windowed) mode.  So for now its a annoyance but playable, Im just dealing with logging in twice.  So now the question is, will EA acknowledge its a bug?

Okay. So I did what you asked, hit alt+enter when the game started up, it put it into windowed mode. Meaning it was already in either Fullscreen, or Windowed Fullscreen (Borderless).  However, I was able to click around in game and change the settings to Windowed Fullscreen (Borderless)! And the game is still running. Maybe the game was somehow stuck on a lower resolution? I did get new monitors, but I can't remember if I played SWTOR after getting them.  So, maybe this is a resolution not switching right problem? I'll keep testing it to see if it continues to work.  God, I hope this issue gets fixed.

I have two monitors, btw.  I can't remember if it mentions that in the Dxdiag.

This appears to a Microsoft creator issue, those that have rolled back the update, have reported the issue is gone.
