SWTOR FAILS TO LAUNCH
Launcher opens fine and accepts password and optional encoder number. The launcher then advances to where I can press "Play". At that point the launcher closes but nothing happens not black screen ...

Try the steps in my previous post also have you tried to update with the antivirus uninstalled ? if not i would do that before digging deeper
I have not tried updating with antivirus uninstalled. I will give it a shot before anything else

As long as both are done the order doesnt matter
I did both but failed to install. I am trying again with a new download but going to disconnect the internet this time
Managed to update to 20H2. But after a subsequent reboot I got stuck in a "startup repair Loop". I had a spare SSD and just did a fresh 20H2 install on it.
