SWTOR issue with Bitdefender 2017

I am having a problem with Star Wars The Old Republic and Bitdefender 2017.  I haven't played in a while but when I reinstalled the game and tried to play, the game would start the launcher, verify the code which was ok, start the game but the game would load at 800x600 resolution.  I would go in to the graphics section in settings and under resolution there was no drop down list.  From what I read online, it seems like a Bitdefender issue blocking the swtor.exe file.  I excluded the entire SWTOR directory from the antivirus with no luck.  I am not sure what the issue is, besides that it might be Bitdefender, but I can't be the only person with this problem.  I need Bitdefender and I already paid for it so I am not going to uninstall it.

My computer is as follows:

Windows 10

AMD 8350 CPU

16 GBs of DDR3 1866

4 TB RAID (4x1TB Western Digital drives)

NVidia GTX 970

Please help!!!!

    @Skyfracker

    for 800 x 600 issue press alt+enter to go to window mode and then see if selection is there for resolution

    Edit - I should point out it is not swtor's responsibility to work with bitdefender, if you believe bitdefender is causiing any issues you are best to talk to their support.

    Where did you read bitdefender was the cause ?
