Swtor launcher.exe not opening??
Hello fellow gamer's i have a problem regarding Swtor launcher.exe.. For 3 days now it's been all crazy i can open it fine in safe mode with networking but as soon as i restart normally it will not ...

That effectively resets the network adapter
just reset the router and i used a different Ethernet cable and still no internet.. and i also restarted my pc.
So no internet on either wireless or ethernet adapters , whats in the reliability monitor ?
truth be told i have no clue what i'm looking for in this reliability tool.

for today anyway windows stopped responding and was closed twice. thats it on error's.
Doesnt make sense , internet connection by ethernet should be just working, I can understand a wireless connection possibly if the credentials arent correct
You may be best running the repair install for windows 7 and then see how things stand, sounds like it maybe the less painful way forward
already doing that i'll let you know when it's complete and if i have internet again..

but won't start the patch.
If you make the changes per this link it will start to patch , but doesnt explain the issue in normal boot
ok i made the changes, yes it doesn't because my laptop that i was on awhile ago it opened up fine in normal boot i don't get it lol
i have before i tried to run swtor i was trying to play a game from nexon and i was having this same issue.
If you did the repair install , then windows updates will be needed to be done again , ensure you get all the C++ and .net ones
ok will do, But here the thing what if that won't fix it? then what lol. because i had 4.5 net frame or the latest version anyway with all of the c++'s installed.
but as of right now it is downloading in safe mode with networking
Post what the other game from nexon was called and can try and look at similarities between launchers , but will have to be tomorrow for me , after 10pm here and have to get up early for work.

ok it was nexon launcher and riders of icarus. that was the only other game i tried to play before swtor

When you go to the clean boot there is definately no other 3rd party apps running even the Antvirus or any motherboard apps like MSI afterburner.
Initial look both games use Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2010 package but then why is it working in safe mode .....

Did you try re-installing or repairing C++ 2010 just in case
hello and yes windows updates are complete and i have all c++ up to date aswell.

Simple thing to do as well is right mouse click on launcher.exe in the game folder and select properties , go to the compat tab and tick run as administrator and click ok.
also if there is a patch folder in the main game folder delete it.
