Swtor launcher login issue

Try running a repair:

Non-Streaming launcher - Log into the launcher but don't click Play. Check for small letters "ST" in the bottom left corner. If this is NOT present, With the new launcher after login , select the username pull down on the top right and select settings, then press repair.

Streaming launcher - If the letters "ST" is present, close the launcher, right mouse click on the game shortcut, select open file location and delete the BitRaider folder. Then start the launcher.

You can also try and run the repair utility as well

If you right mouse click on the game folder and select open file location, you will see a log folder , can you attach the latest launcher log found in this folder to a post here.

There is only a few likely scenarios possible, one is the account is banned , other is antivirus and firewall is blocking login on the launcher, so knowing what Antivirus you are using can be useful.

cant log in to launcher so couldn't download game and you cant use the launcher repair untill you have completed downloads  ☹️ tried the repair utility but didn't help. tried uninstall and redownload, didn't help. tried changing password(several times), didn't help...

im running avast internet security

If there is no security key associated with this account , The log is showing 404 which would imply the username/password is incorrect

Is there anything unusual about the password like excessive length , special characters ? is this different to say your origin password ? origin password can override the swtor password shortly after reset if the accounts are linked.  

Ensure the Username is correct and at this point best suggestion try another password reset with a basic password or try the origin password.

untick remember this account in the launcher and ensure there are no spaces in the launcher username being saved, retype the details fresh

there is no password key attached.

the username/password works for swtor.com

tried unticking the remember account(and left it unticked)

i changed the password a few times . shortened, changed it to just letters and numbers

just checked my origin password is the same as my swtor one

tried turning off security, no luck

this is doing my head in....

any other ideas?

Delete the file called "launcher.settings" file in SWTOR folder when the launcher is closed , then launch again

didnt work ☹️ 

mite leave it till tomorrow and hope that its a password updating from website to game-server thing or something...
