Hello I got a white lightsaber crystal in a pack from the light vs dark event. I am a preferred status player and I don't have artifact equipment authorization and it seems like I can't use it. My question is will I ever be able to use the crystal other than resubscribing or buying the artifact equipment authorization.
Unfortunately since it's a purple grade item you would need to either subscribe or purchase artifact authorization from the Cartel Market or GTN if available. The crystals with +41 stats are always purple grade so you would need authorization to equip it.
I also just won a Advanced White Eviscerating Crystal that mysteriously has Artifact Equipment Authorization (first attached picture) and am wondering what's the difference between that crystal and the same crystal pulled from collections (second photo)... I'm preferred also and it's untrue that level 10 purple outline +41 crystals are all artifact ones.. especially this one linked 🙂 Just wondering if we need to get a CSR to individually/manually adjust these....
Addendum to my post above and maybe a fix for the original poster... my Artifact Equipment crystal I had won I left in the new Cartel Market Item Stash and had not claimed it as yet - I just on a whim claimed it to one of my alts yesterday and, sure enough, it was sitting in inventory greyed out and still listed as needing the AA (artifact authorization) to be used.... but also at the very bottom of the description in blue was the phrase "unlocked for character in collections"! When I checked collections, the white crystal NOT needing AA was unlocked in my alt's collections and I copied a new crystal to inventory to use! I would tell the op to claim the crystal and see if it unlocks correctly in collections and copy a new crystal (that won't need AA to use) to inventory to fix this. 🙂
