Yep sometimes it's related to kernel but sometimes the is nothing in windows crash reports.
And this is only happening to swtor.
No other games have troubles, BF1, BF4, race car games etc....
Kernal error only makes it difficult
I guess you have doubled checked temps ? swtor does make a good stress test more then people think
You have played on a clean boot too ? tried disabling bitraider per this link to take it out of the mix while troubleshooting ? (is a new game download but it is what i use on win 10 too)

Always use prime95 and some kombustor, OCCT test on every systems ^^
Clean boot
Clean OS
Clean installation
Those crashes came from nowhere...
I hate bitraider patch mode i always make the installation in SSN mode.

Can you post some of the crash reports , just in case it provides any inkling at all
- 8 years ago
Yes i'll try to recover some i can't at the moment but i let you know as soon as i can get one.
By the way thanks for the reply.

If you post a dxdiag that would be helpful too
Only crash issue I am tracking at present is under a 32bit OS, and that is all OS versions including 10 , symptom of that is UI disappears and game crashes but this is not seen in 64 bit.
I did saw it randomly but it was only on 64bits systems.
I'll check for dxdiag + bug reports.

Here i am again.
I could reproduce the bug on 1 computer.
While doing Dread Fortress HM on the last boss freeze can't quit the game, must reboot the computer totally.
No Bugs Report log in windows here is the DxDiag file:

I posted my dxdiag no windows error log reports.
When it crash need to entirely reboot manually the computer.

What is occurring with the system for you to need to do the reboot ? have you ever noticed and shutdown/sleep issues ?
Open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc/scannow just want to check the component store given the one drive errors.
Given there are no swtor errors or anything that looks like a crash report, can start with other things.
Do a clean install of the video driver but go back to an older driver version like 378.92 just to test and place that driver in debug mode per this link if the driver allows it.
Maybe i'll try another driver but i kept a system under 1607 Anniversary version and so far so good.
All other systems have no issues with sfc scannow......
All driver was installed with a clean DDU.
When it crashed, the game is just like frozen screen where ever you are.
If you are with a single monitor you can't even go task manager because the game always goes in front of it.
So 2 possibilities, 2 monitors and you can kill the process or reboot the computer.
This is very weird.
I try also after disabling all parameters (like vulkk post) some other windows compatibility mode just in case but same results....

You can try deleting the games cache file called diskcachearena it is at C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor and run the game repair in this link
My initial thoughts on what your describing is it isnt actually a game file issue in windows 10, this sounds more system level, whether that is driver or hardware is the hard part.
What to do from here with nothing to point too apart from a game freeze , my thoughts is need to start eliminating what it isn't, if you have other systems swap the memory sticks for example.
Maybe run a in-place repair per this link to refresh windows files.
I would definitely take another look at temps, like play in window mode and monitor the temps and see if it seems to get to a certain point before something occurs.
Just because other certain games don't exhibit an issue doesn't mean there isn't something underlying as the cause.
All this is very difficult to diagnose over a computer screen, wish I had a more definitive answer but a game total freezing is something else again.

Yes i know that this is weird.
Normally temps are never over 50/60°C
I'll try to clean swtor Cache. But question, is deleting cache work either on SSN and BR mode? Because a friend as the same type of problem but he's running on BR mode.
By the way thanks again for your help, i hope some users could refer to this topic in the future.

The diskcachearena file is common between both patch methods , SSN and BR are just different patch methods to get the same game files
