    I guess it is not what you would like to hear but all answers are in this Thread, bumping won't change that.

    You can try Calling CS they might be able to activate the referral or give you an date when you can use a new one.

    Are you using the same referral link over and over again or have you tried different ones?  When was the last day of your previous subscription that expired?

    I'm not a sub, so I can't call CS. That's why I'm here, this is the only platform open to preferred. Unless that information is wrong, in which case, please tell me the number and I will gladly call.

    My sub expired Feb 21. I've been trying different referrals since. I thought it might be a cookies problem, so I tried it from my phone the other day, no difference. As someone earlier had suggested that someone might have gotten too many referrals, I've also been trying referrals from new players. Again, no dice.

    You do not have to be a subscriber in order to call customer service.  Anyone can call regardless if they are free to play, preferred or a subscriber.

    Follow the link above this post for how to contact customer service.

    Right, so I called customer support. Despite the fact that it says right on the link provided that it's for subscribers only.

    I called and they said 'make an in-game ticket'. Well obviously as preferred I can't do that. So ok, send us an email with the ticket number that they will provide me. I send an email, and in response they say "oh no, you need to talk to the person who's referral you're clicking on, get THEM to write a ticket, so then CS can fix the issue with your account."

    Just to hit on the head, as if it wasn't abundantly clear, that this service isn't for prefs, it's for subs.

    I've heard horror stories on the forum about CS for years and always thought it was because the people writing the tickets are jerks. That might be part of it, but a big part is EA policy which has always been this fiasco. I paid money for the service in the past, I WANT to subscribe again, but since I'm not subbing right now, EA thinks it's perfectly okay to block me from getting support.

    @Jenoteh

    I am aware for CS to look at anything to do with referral issues they require both accounts to submit a ticket/email

    person who's referral you are clicking needs to say he has provided his referral to you and it isnt working

    You need to state that you are clicking that persons referral and it is not working

    reason for this is that this crosses over 2 accounts yours and the persons referral you try to use, and both need to provide consent/request this to be investigated due to privacy/account security policies.

    This cannot be handled over the forums at AHQ
