swtor security key

i purchased a new phone and i redownloaded the star wars the old republic security key. but i need my activation code to install it on my new phone. the serial number is on the old security key, but ...

    Hi bitshifter,

     

    Before you will be able to add the new authenticator to your account you need to remove the old one. To do so, please contact Star Wars' account support via phone: http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/5200

     

    They will be able to assist you in removing the old authenticator and adding the new one.

hi there

I am having a security key issue as well

I downloaded the game just fine.

I try and install the mobile security key, it asks for a serial number which I do not have!!

Is it because I am a free to use player and not a paid subscription player??

Please help

Hi thephoenix4ever,

 

You will get this code from the swtor.com account page.

Log in to your account at http://www.swtor.com and go to the account management page (top right corner). Then click on "Security Key" in the menu on the left hand side. Click on "Add mobile security key" and it will display a 7 digit number that you need to put into the app on your phone.

From there on, just follow the steps that are described on the account page.

    I did exactly as you said and there are only 2 choices.  "Setup a new Physical Security Key" and  "link a previously setup Security Key."  See screen shot below.  Any help with this would be appreciated.

      Hi again,

      It seems like the account you are playing with is a Free-to-Play account. I'm sorry,  but as far as I'm aware, the mobile security key is only available for Preferred or Premium players and therefore the required serial number doesn't show up.

        You are right, it is.  It would be benefitial to put that info on the website.

      Boss I also already entered it and was told to fill in the serial number and the code but I do not have flasdiks and I do not know what the contents of the serial number and code?

        Why is the mobile authenticator not available to everyone at this point? It almost feels like EA is saying "You're not subscribed so we hope your account gets hacked." Is there even any other games that have a mobile authenticator that do this?

        Does anyone know where you find the SERIAL NUMBER (7 DIGITS) if you purchased the game via Origin?  I accessed my Orgin account and from order history, nothing contains only 7 digits.

        I cannot get into my SWTOR account, because I don't possess the security key on my account....and I can't get access to the security key...without the 7 digit serial number......

        Thoughts?

    I have a problem my security key no longer works much less have any sticker on the back. I just came back to play the KOR and no luck any way you can help me?

    I can't log in without the security key. So this doesn't work for my situation.

    My problem is that the Authenticator on my phone is asking for an Activation Serial Number but without access to the Authenticator, I cannot log into my account.
