SWTOR Steam: 60 days gifted sub not working

Hello everyone!

I can provide screenshots as listed here https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/m-p/9356718#M61159 (the buyers account with id, the purchase history and the transaction itself, although they are not in english). However the person that gifted me the subscription can only send phone screenshots. But all information can be clearly seen there.

One other thing: I got a bit confused with creating and linking different accounts, in particular EA-SWTOR-Steam. It seems I ended up creating two SWTOR accounts, one for each EA account I have. Just399PlsBuyMe (EA) connected to BazibaDaSequel (SWTOR), BazibaDaCat (EA, just changed from df4f42678f1a2f58 for easier use) to BazibaDaCat (SWTOR). Maybe that fact messed everything up somehow, I cant tell myself.

Can you please tell, what exactly should I write down and send in an email to swtor support email?

I would have been super grateful!

    Swtor prefers PC screenshots , they may not accept phone ones

    EA account creation is done automatically on account creation for accounts created prior to 25th June 2019 per https://help.ea.com/en/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-account-linked/

    Steam usually fails if either swtor and steam aren't linked prior to purchase or the swtor account linked to the steam account is disabled for purchasing.

    See what they say via email , but it also maybe easier to call them

     

  • I will wait for their response. I do know about PC screenshots, I just cannot provide them at the moment, unfortunately.

    And I cant call the support either in my country.

    I wanted to ask one more thing: The reason I went with asking a person to gift me a sub was that purchases are disabled in my country at the moment. However I do have an international bank card. So the question is: Can I either access my account via VPN from another region to pay for a subscriprtion with my own card, or give my account to a friend who lives abroad so he could pay for me instead? Are those options against the TOS in any way so my account could get banned? Because I dont want to do anything illegal, and still cant really see any other option to play the game properly.

  • I am in Russia, yes, sadly. But the subscription is not available for purchase via steam. We can only download free version of the game. Thats why I wonder whether using VPN or sharing the account is allowed or not, to buy the subscription through swtor client.

    My swtor name is BazibaDaSequel, linked to this EA account.

  • As of now, all payment methods have been blocked sadly ☹️

    Unless you had a sub before, then you can pay via steam wallet. But Im new to the game, so that option wont work.

    Yes, they contacted me, and Im contacting the person who gifted me the sub to send proper screenshots. Yet again, just like in this case https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/SWTOR-Steam-60-days-gifted-but-not-working/m-p/12506275#M100107 it was a gift, so this might take a while.
